Academic Appeal for Readmission
Students may immediately appeal their suspensions if extenuating circumstances exist. These circumstances include factors beyond the student's control (e.g., family emergency, serious illness, death, etc.) and must be documented. Appeals due to other circumstances will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
A student who has been suspended may not re-enroll at the University until at least one term, not including summer term, has passed. A readmission appeal form must be submitted to the Office of Academic Support and Advising at least 60 days prior to the start of the term in which the student wishes to re-enter UNC.
